Touch Premiere Event - Pilot Episode 101 Jan 25, 2012

Kiefer Sutherland returned to TV Weds night Jan 25, 2012 with a special premiere event of his new drama Touch. As soon as we first heard Kiefer was coming back to TV in this project, we were very excited and very much in anticipation of seeing him in a new role. As much as we loved Jack Bauer, we were excited to see him accept the challenge of this new role and show is versatility as an actor to a TV audience. The pilot was so beautifully done from the opening internal narrative by Martin's son, who never speaks, to the visual opening sequence and very fitting theme music. Also very effective are the introduction of all the characters who's lives would be brought together and the emotional heartwarming conclusion of seeing Jake reach out to his father.
Kiefer and David Mazouz who plays Jake Bohm, Kiefer's on screen son have the viewer emotionally connected early on and they both give powerful emotional performances. There are so many facets to Touch to keep you emotionally involved and the show holds you in as you connect with all the characters and gives you a sense of hope!
Kiefer Sutherland does not disappoint. You feel his double heartbreak of losing his wife on 9/11 and not being able to connect with his son. Kiefer has a special talent of making an emotional connection with the audience through the characters he plays. In no time, we believe he will make Martin Bohm a house hold name and another iconic character. He is amazing and Touch is sensational. One of more unique, intelligent television shows to come along for a long time.
